Linda Lea French (Scarr) Brown, 67, of Layton, Utah, went home to Heaven peacefully June 13, 2019, following several weeks of sudden surgeries and illness.
Linda was born on November 3, 1951, to John Milton and Wilma June (Moore) French in Miami, Oaklahoma. The family moved to California when Linda was young and there she graduated from Ventura High School in 1969. She was a bubbly social bug who loved her friends and the beach.
Linda married Jim Scarr in 1974 and they had three children; Shannon, Stacy, and Sean. They later divorced. The family moved to Arco, Idaho, in 1979 and Linda resided there until 2000. While in Arco Linda was primarily a stay at home mom who liked to bake homemade bread, document geneology, and supported her kids in their activities.
Linda married Larry E. Brown on November 17, 2000, in Monterey, California, and they made their original home in Fremont. Linda and Larry moved to Utah in 2002 and Linda enjoyed many happy years working in the appointments department for Tanner Clinic in Layton. She absolutely adored her coworkers and touched many lives there before retiring in 2018.
Linda is survived by her dear husband Larry and their puppy Sadie; daughters, Shannon (Kevin) Swenson of Clearfield, UT; Stacy (Kevin) Melton of Shelly, ID; son Sean Scarr (Sara Pont); Grandchildren, Victoria and Ben, Samuel and Taimie, Nikiyah, Kaitlynn and Levi; Great-Grandsons Zaidyn and Bronsyn; and Sister Karen (Ron) Hinds of Graniteville, SC, as well as many former relatives and dearly loved friends. She was preceeded in death by her parents, John and June French.
Private family services will take place in Idaho Falls at a later date.
