Lucile Watson Decker was born in St Anthony, Idaho on October 13, 1920 to Robert S. Watson and Mary Rozelia Meservy Watson. She had eight siblings: Elden, Martha, Derena, Marjorie and Orion, three of whom died during her childhood: Merlin, Clark and Alma.
She graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg and went on to get an Associate's degree from Ricks College with a teaching certificate. She taught school for approximately 20 years in Challis, ID.
She married Joseph W. Decker in 1947 and they had five children: Joseph Marion (Jody), Myron Ferrell, LaRue Kay, Valauna Joyce, and Marleah Jean.
She enjoyed oil painting, writing, Old Time Fiddlers, Rendezvous, and camping in the Sawtooths.
She received a BS degree from BYU. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She died living near her family in Ogden, Utah and was preceded in death by her son, Jody and one grandson, Clifford Jody Decker.
She is survived by her other four children, 21 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 2 pm at the Riverdale 2nd Ward LDS Building, 5500 S 1175 W, Riverdale, Utah. Friends may meet with family from 12:30 to 1:30 pm prior to the service at the church. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
