Alvina and family,I know no words can replace the emptiness that Mike has left behind. But one day, in its own way and time, you will find that space being filled up and shared by all that is Mike. All of his fond memories you have of him, what you see of him in each one of his children, and the legacy of him that lives on in the precious grandchildren. It will take time, and it will be on your time table. No one else's, as everyone is different. Take strength and comfort from the love that he had for you, and dwell on that during those times when you need it. He has been your protector, and I'm sure he'll find ways to let you know he is still protecting you. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you, and we are available to you at any time, even if it's just for a hug. Your wonderful children will also take care of you, and grandchildren are the best at giving hugs.
