Allen (Scooter) Clyde Thompson, beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 62 years old.
Born on February 4, 1963, to Clyde Thompson and Shalleen Dover.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Kurt, and is survived by his parents; Clyde and Karen (stepmother), and Shalleen. Siblings; Tana, John and Kim (stepsister). Father of Jeremy, Amber, and Shelby. Grandfather of three granddaughters: Lex, Seffie, and Melody.
A jack of all trades and a true mechanic at heart, Allen’s passion for vehicles shaped much of his life. Whether working in the garage, tinkering in a wrecking yard, or admiring the beauty of a 1967 Ford Shelby Mustang fastback, he found peace and fulfillment in turning wrenches and bringing machines back to life. His hard work and skill were matched only by his generosity; he would bend over backwards to help anyone in need.
A celebration of Allen’s life will be held on September 29, 2025, from 6:00 pm–7:30 pm at The LDS Church’s Pavilion, 3495 W 4850 S, Taylorsville, UT 84129, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share stories of a life well lived.
