Anne-Marie McPeek (née Huynh Thi Tan) died December 6, 2020 due to complications of COVID-19. She was hand in hand with her loving husband Michael when she bid him farewell. She was 76 years of age.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Anne-Marie in France and Nga in Saigon, Vietnam. She had six grandchildren, two of whom predeceased her as well.
Anne-Marie was born in South Vietnam and moved to France in her late teens. She met Michael in Toulon, France in 1986. They were married the following year and lived in Virginia Beach, VA and Philadelphia until moving to Ogden, UT in 1996.
Anne-Marie loved pretty colors and sparkly things and expressed that in her daily life. She particularly loved flower gardening and her yard was immaculate and gave happiness to friends and even to passers-by who often stopped to compliment her work. Always the most elegant of ladies, she enjoyed casino gambling and loved getting dressed up to go.
Michael, along with friends and family, will miss her deeply forever. He wishes to express his gratitude to the staff of McKay-Dee Hospital for the remarkable care they afforded Anne-Marie. That gratitude extends to the nurses, aides and doctors of Intermountain Home Health and Hospice who helped them at home in her final days.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 6 to 8 pm at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah. Friends and Family are welcome to come and pay their respects. Masks are required.
