Arnulfo Nuco Pitones

December 3, 1952 — December 12, 2021

Arnulfo (Nuco) Pitones, 69, from Lobatos Zacatecas, Mexico passed away December 12th, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Nuco was born on December 3rd, 1952, to Jose Pedro Pitones and Maria Carmen Reyes. After moving to Utah in 1976, he began his 34-year career as a Steel Galvanizer for Syro Steel Company.

Nuco met Jackie Espinoza in 1976 in Layton, UT. They instantly fell in love and were wed in 1977. They were lifelong, loving soulmates. Nuco and Jackie moved to Ogden, UT where they started their family of three sons Valentino, Valentine, Jose and daughter Carmelita.

A dedicated father and husband, Nuco was determined to provide for his family and to give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Most of you knew him as our dad, but he was much, much more. He was a professional musician (trumpet player) and began his musical career in his home ranch of Lobatos. While residing in Ogden, he was recruited into the local Spanish band Grupo America and finished it as a professional Mariachi. His passion for music was unending and he was always willing to play notes and tunes at anyone’s request. He loved to be in nature, whether it was farming, camping, fishing, hiking or just going for a scenic drive.

Anyone who came in contact with Nuco, knew that he was the epitome of a loving father and husband any family could ask for. He was predeceased by his mother, Carmen, his father Pedro, and his sister Isidra. He is survived by his wife Jackie, their 4 children, his siblings Luciano, Maria Isabel, Juan Antonio, Salvador and Rito, as well his grandchildren and tons of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
