BILLIE LEE

OGDEN- Billie Lee passed away at McKay-Dee Hospital on Wednesday, August 13, 2008. She was born on September 28, 1932 to William Alexander and Veda Snow Sanders Lee in Ogden.

Billie married David Minnoch in 1954 and later divorced. She married Louis Cortes in 1977 and they later divorced.

She was a stewardess for Western Airlines back when they served champagne and peanuts and went on to have multiple jobs in human resources and retired from Hill Air Force Base after working in procurement.

She loved painting, growing roses, trees and enjoyed her association with the Humane Society because she loved animals, especially little dogs. At 74, she was still working and was employed at Future Through Choices where she had a talent of helping disadvantaged people feel good about themselves. Billie was a proud member of WSU Alumni and graduated with a bachelor's degree in English.

Billie sustained severe injuries when a person with medical problems hit her car while she was parked in Riverdale, September 4, 2007. She developed MRSA and pneumonia within 48 hours of the incident and lived on a ventilator for the last eleven months of her life. Billie was fortunate enough to have life-long friendships with women who were with her through her last days: Cheryl and Shanna a€" they were "scalliwags."

She is survived by her son; Brian Cody Minnoch of Ogden; daughter, Amy Joi O'Donoghue (Michael) and her two sons; Joseph Bryson and Daniel Bryson, Layton; brother; Robert E. Lee, Riverton; a sister-in-law, Carole Lee of Roy. She appreciated the love of her nephew Steve Lee and his daughter, Ashley.

Preceded in death by her parents, son; Christian Mark Minnoch, brother; Thomas Lee, and first husband David O. Minnoch Jr.; and ex. husband Louis Cortes.

A viewing will be held Saturday August 16, 2008 from 12-1p.m. at Aaron's Mortuary, 1600 Washington Blvd. Ogden. Graveside services will be held at Willard City Cemetery, 550 N. Main (Hwy89) Willard, UT. following the viewing.
