Charles Eugene Dabbs

Charles Eugene Dabbs, 68, of Windber PA, was born July 20, 1949, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 from a 14-year battle with Alzheimers and Dementia.

 

He was a loving brother, father, uncle and grandfather, great- grandfather and friend. He loved hunting, fishing, being with nature in the mountains and spending as much time with family as possible. He was a man of great character with many friends.

 

Charles is survived by four brothers: Garry (Joy), Bob (Debbie), Jay (Maureen) and Don (Laura); sister in-law, Janet Dabbs; his children: Victoria Wainwright (Rob), Candy Dabbs-Leffler (Jason) and Scott Dabbs (Terri); his grandchildren: Michael, Deckar, Hadlie and Tara; his great-grandchildren: Dalton, Sciona, Kariah, Ardell; and many nieces and nephews in the Dabbs and Jones family. 

 

He returned into the loving arms of his parents and three brothers.  You have left a huge hole in our hearts, but your legacy will always remain with us forever ~ until we meet again!  We love you.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I know it's hard when a loved one dies, but there is a promise that God has given us at Acts 24:15 that all will be resurrected for both the righteous and unrighteous. I hope you can find comfort in this along with other enlightening scriptures like Revelation 21:4 Romans 12:12

Candy I am so sorry for your loss. I am up at Apple Village so much I got to know your Dad and he was always so nice. Even though he wasn't LDS he would sometimes come out to our meetings and socialize with us. He was so friendly. Our thoughts are with you
from the Branch Presidency and Relief Society Presidency at Apple Village. We are all so glad we got to know him and we will miss him. Take Care

Charlie was always nice to me. I married into the family he and Helen were do kind and sweet. He was a quiet man with a handsome smile. The last time i saw him was at a service for helens sister sharon. I was shocked to hear about helen and now charlie. No time is good for losing someone we love i pray u find peace that he has joined his love in heaven. Our sincere and deepest sympathy through Christ our Lord Amen

I will miss Charlie. Even though I was not able to know the real Charlie, I always knew he was a great man. He was always kind and willing to help others, after all that is the most important thing in life. He will be greatly missed.
