Charles F. Painter
Charles Francis Painter, 75, passed away peacefully Friday, November 3, 2023 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT. He was born on May 5, 1948 in Ogden, Utah to Mary J. Rieser and John F. Painter.
He studied at Weber State University, Ogden, Utah and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Cambridge, MA.
Charles touched many lives in the recovery community and was a long-time member of the Alano Club.
He lived most of his life in Utah except when traveling the world for General Electric Power where he lived in Tiawan and Korea to name a few after which he settled in Ogden and spent the rest of his life working his own business as a computer repairman and programmer.
He is survived by his children: Lisa Murray of Spanish Fork, Monica Martin of Virginia Beach, FL, Micheal (McKenzie) Painter of Ogden and Charlie Painter of the UK; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Joan Strong and Kathryn Tipping.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Sean Painter.
The family would like to thank the IHC Hospice team in Ogden, Weber Human Services and the Alternatives Program, specifically Shantel and Mercedes for the special love and care they gave to Charles.
All are invited to the Graveside Services to be held at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd on November 25, 2023 at 12 pm with a celebration of life to follow at Lindquist Community Room, 3434 Washington Blvd in Ogden.
