I have always loved Doug for his sparkling personality and genuine kindness toward others. We grew up on opposite ends of the same block. I can honestly say that he was one of the best, most sincere individuals I ever knew. I always adored his great laugh. It broke my heart to learn of his passing. I know he made life more special for everyone in his path. To his wonderful brother, Stuart, his children and grandchildren, my love and prayers are with you as you grieve the passing of this great man. He truly was a gem.

It was with tremendous sadness today when I learned of Doug's passing. My family moved to Roy into a new home across the Street from Doug and Olive the summer between 6th grade and 7th grade. Doug was a warm kind hearted man, who always had time for the little kid across the street, he always had a dollar for me when he was wheel barreling top soil into his new yard, he always had time to talk with me and was an extremely positive person. Doug took me fishing on the Weber River on many occasions in his really cool 1967 Chevy Impala 2 door hardtop with a 4 speed and a 327 engine, I remember that he was a big fan of STP. I remember with a lot of fondness the time Doug took me camping to Wellsville and the Hyrum area, we camped in our sleeping bags in the park and fished all day for a couple of days. The last time I saw Doug was during a business trip as an adult, we played a trick on Olive and Doug and I went for a plane ride in a Cessna 182 around the valley taking pictures. Every time I visited Utah I would always swing by the old neighborhood to see if I could catch Doug, alas I never did. It is with a heavy heart that Doug is gone, it is true he could build or fix anything, he taught me how to do the same.

Doug, thank you for being you and thank you from the bottom of my heart for having time for the little kid across the street. I will never forget you Virgil.

With kind regards and sympathy for the family and friends who will miss you.

Dear Olive, Scott, Tiffany, Angela and Tyler,
I'am truly saddened to hear of Doug passing away. I wanted you to know that my dad will take care of him in heaven and show him the ropes. No death is easy, but dealing with it around the holidays is alot harder. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
My mom and I remember the good times that we all had together in our neighborhood, and my mom remembers his quiet demeanor and his good example. My mom will keep your family in her thoughts and prayers also. Please remember all the good times with Doug they will help to ease your pain. We love and miss your family very much.
Love, Brooke Dunyon Willerton & Marie Dunyon & Family
