Cheryl Jeanne Gonzales

Cheryl Jeanne Gonzales, 72, passed away on July 23, 2025, at McKay-Dee Hospital, surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Born on March 29, 1953, in Van Nuys, California, Cheryl was the beloved daughter of Lawrence B. Swallow and Geraldine M. Swallow. She graduated from Layton High School in 1971 and later attended Painters College of Beauty in Roy, Utah.

Cheryl was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She shared 49 beautiful years of marriage with the love of her life, Ben Gonzales. Together, they built a warm and loving home in Roy, Utah, where they raised their three children.

After dedicating many years to raising her family, Cheryl returned to the workforce at Harmons, where she was known for her kind heart and friendly nature, forming many lasting friendships.

Cheryl will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strong love for her family, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, celebrating family traditions, and making those around her feel special and cared for.

She is survived by her husband, Ben Gonzales; their three children: Krystal Hull (Randy), Toby Gonzales (Mandi), and Misty Gonzales (Casey); many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Geraldine Swallow; her brother, Duane Swallow; and her grandson, Tylor Ball.

A Celebration Of Life will be held on Saturday August 16, 2025, from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Jeremiah’s, 1307 West 1200 South, Ogden, Utah 84404, where family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Cheryl’s life.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
