Chris Michael Garcia was suddenly called to our Heavenly Father on April 16, 2025, around 10:30 a.m. from complications of a heart attack. He was born in Ogden Utah, the son of Efren Garcia and Evelyn Lujan Garcia, and lived in Clearfield where he attended Clearfield High School. He excelled in several sports: he was a pole vaulter in track and field and was the starting Quarterback on the football team.
After graduating from Clearfield High School, Class of 1986, he worked odd jobs off and on. He was even a lawn care tech for ChemLawn. Chris later married Christine Garcia in 1993 and they had a wonderful boy together, Gerrick Paul Garcia. They later divorced. Chris never married again. He met Corinne Wright Bates in 2000 and they separated about 17 years later. He then met Cindy Rodarte in 2019, who was with him until the end.
Chris had a hidden talent for cutting hair, so he decided to pursue his career and become a Cosmetologist Barber and a Cosmetologist Barber Instructor at Stacey’s Beauty College in Ogden. In 2011 he obtained his Occupation Professional License from the State Of Utah as a Licensed Cosmetologist Barber and a Cosmetologist Barber Instructor. He started cutting hair locally in Roy, and Ogden as your local Barber and was well known for his professional touch as a Barber.
Chris was also very active in life. He liked camping, hiking, waterskiing, anything on or near water, his favorite thing to do was playing catch with a football. He had a cannon arm!! Damn, he could throw a football and with accuracy! He was very sociable. His Barber shop was a place where clients could gather for a good conversation and share competitive tall tale stories about life and adventures. He always brought good energy wherever he went.
Chris is survived by his son, Gerrick Garcia of Syracuse, Utah; Brothers, Alfred Garcia of Ogden, Utah and Gene (Punky) Garcia of Sunset, Utah; and many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins that loved and enjoyed spending time with him. He was preceded in death by his Father, Efren Garcia; Mother, Evelyn Garcia; Brothers: Larry, Arthur, Steven; Sister, Connie; and Stepbrothers, Richard and Billy Sheltra.
