D. Jean “Jeanne” Nielson passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, in Tremonton, Utah, surrounded by those who loved her most.

Born on December 4, 1949, in Logan, Utah, and raised in the close-knit community of Providence, Jeanne lived a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

Married to her best friend and beloved companion, Craig Nielson, Jeanne’s love story was one of deep friendship, laughter, and enduring devotion. Together, they shared a bond rooted in love, faith, and joy.

A true hippie and gypsy at heart, Jeanne had a soul that danced with the wind. She loved nothing more than the feeling of the breeze in her hair and the open road beneath her wheels. Driving was her freedom, her meditation, her joy. She lit up every room she entered—the life of the party, with a laugh that warmed the soul and a presence that lifted spirits.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jeanne’s life was full of compassion, kindness, and unwavering hope. She loved fiercely and unconditionally. Everyone who met her felt her light. Jeanne adored her loyal fur baby, Gizzy Moto, who stayed faithfully by her side. But her deepest pride and joy were her family.

She leaves behind her four beloved daughters: Candice (and John McMahon), Erin (and Jeff Rogers), Misty (and Brandon Langdyke), and Jamie (and Vaughn Thompson). Jeanne was also a proud grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and great grandmother to nine.

She was a beacon of love, laughter, and light—an inspiration to many and a comfort to all. Jeanne's spirit, so full of adventure and tenderness, will continue to guide and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of Jeanne’s beautiful life will be held on Monday, May 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Aaron's Mortuary, 888 South Main, Brigham City, UT, 84302.

In her memory, let the wind blow through your hair, laugh often, love deeply, and never be afraid to dance like nobody’s watching.

Her journey here may be complete, but her story lives on—in the wind, in the road, and in the hearts of all who love her.
