Dale Clifford Gailey, 73, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia.
Born on October 8, 1951, in Ogden, Utah, Dale was the son of Colen and Delma Gailey. He graduated from Bonneville High School and enlisted in the United States Navy shortly thereafter, proudly serving his country.
Dale married Shelley Mae Tippets, together, they had four children and later divorced. He married Lana C. Robinson, and with her, welcomed two more sons into his life.
A man of many passions, Dale enjoyed woodworking, cruising the open road on his Honda Goldwing, and adventuring on dirt bikes through Moab with friends and family. He always had a project—or five—on the go. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, making memories with his children and grandchildren.
Dale and Lana loved traveling the country in their RV, forming lifelong friendships at every stop. He was always up for a good conversation or a quick game at the park. Dale earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Weber State University and worked as a Criminal Investigator for the IRS. He also proudly retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve with 20 years of service.
He is survived by his six children: Barry Robinson, Candice (John) Larson, Daniel (Jenn) Robinson, Tiffany (Mark) Shisler, Trevor (Cyndi) Gailey, and Brittanie (David Villavicencio) Knezovich. He leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and his siblings: LaRene (Duane) Rogers, Coleen (Neal) Fenton, Brian (Diane) Gailey, and Sandra (Randy) Butler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and both of his spouses.
A celebration of life will be held on June 7th from 1:00-3:00pm at 175 N. Main Street in Willard.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Legacy House and to his dear friends, Larry and Lynn, for their enduring love and support.
Always quick with a joke, his great sense of humor and beautiful heart will be missed.
