Darlene Yvonne Pearce

December 18, 1940 — January 30, 2024

Darlene Y. (Erickson) Pearce, 83 of Layton, Utah passed away comfortably on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024 at Davis Hospital in Layton, Utah surrounded by her loving family.

 

There will be a graveside service to be arranged this summer in Baudette, MN.

 

Darlene was born in Baudette, MN to Arthur and Evelyn (Bain) Erickson. She graduated from Northwest School of Agriculture of Crookston, MN, 1959.


 She was united in Marriage to Gordan Pearce 1968. Gordon passed away in 2013.

 

Darlene was a woman of many jobs, trades and talents. She was wonderful, kind, an amazing cook, sewer, crocheting, knitting, basket-weaving and had a Great big golden heart.

 

Darlene spent time in Hawaii and Okinawa, Japan with Gordan in the Air Force. In Japan she learned how to basket-weave and taught classes. Upon Return she was a housewife and did crafts. Darlene loved to talk with friends and family and spent many hours on the phone visiting. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them when she could.

 

Darlene is survived by her sons, Darold (Lou Ann) DeVries and Kevin Pearce.

Grandchildren Dustin (Mandy), Cory (Sierra), Clayton, Marjie and Samantha.

Great-Grandchildren Keigen, AddieMae, Rayah, Ryker, Kolten, Gunnar, Korinna and Adrian.

She also leaves behind Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Darlene is preceded in death by husband Gordan, parents Art and Evelyn Erickson, grandparents and sister Patricia Sorenson.
