Darren Cody Deimer

Darren Cody Deimer, 30, passed away at McKay Dee Hospital on September 4, 2009. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born on February 6, 1979 to David and Tracine Deimer, he was the oldest of four children. Darren was a graduate of Fremont High in the class of 1997. He always had a crowd around him and befriended everyone he came into contact with. He had the uncanny ability to charm anybody and make any situation a positive one. On August 28, 2004 he married Nikki Durrant. Together they had two children; Dycen 6, and Alivia 4. Darren and Nikki divorced in 2007. His life revolved around his children's well being and he spent every moment he could with them. The love Darren showed to his family and friends could not easily be matched. He was a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Darren had an undying love for all types of sports and was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan. He played football from little league and continued into high school where he participated in the state championship game, taking second place. Darren had many jobs. He worked at Autoliv from 1997-2006 and most recently worked as a pipe fitter and was a member of the pipe fitter's union. He is survived by his two children Dycen and Alivia Deimer of Roy, his parents David and Tracine of South Ogden, his sisters Carmen (Carl) Graham of Roy, BreAnn (Eric) Nielsen of Roy, and Adrein of Astoria, OR; grandmother Darlene Hall (John) Anderson of Roy; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends Darren is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Earl and Beverly Deimer, and his maternal grandfather, Harvey Hall. Darren has made the ultimate sacrifice, but in doing so has given the Gift of Life. At age 16, he elected to be an organ donor and was given the opportunity to donate at this time. Darren will forever be remembered as a hero not only to those who know him, but to all who may benefit from his generous gift. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Darren's friends for always being there for him and the love they have shown throughout the years. A viewing will be held for Darren, Thursday September 10, 2009 from 6-8 P.M. at the West Lake Ward building in Roy at 2915 West 4425 South. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Friday September 11, 2009 at 11 A.M. with a viewing preceding from 10-10:45 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Darren Deimer Memorial Fund at any Goldenwest Credit Union. Arrangements are under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary.
