David Trujillo

September 8, 1950 — October 5, 2023

David Trujillo Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many peacefully passed away at the age of 73 on October 5, 2023 surrounded by his family. David was born on September 8, 1950 in Swink, Colorado to Roque Sr. and Mancolvia Chavez Trujillo. He was born as the eighth of eleven children. David attended Swink High School before later leaving for Utah where he joined the Job Corps at the age of 16 and met his beautiful wife Judy Cardenas Trujillo. The two of them got married on May 17, 1968. He then joined the Army (PFC) and was honorably discharged in June of 1971. He later served in the Navy (CN) and left in June of 1975. David and Judy were blessed with six children who they loved dearly; Dominic (Monica), David Jr. (Trina), Antonio, Miranda (Sage), Bernadette (Hasan), Berlinda (Jose) and Desiree. David leaves behind 23 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren Harlow and Julian along with his dog and right hand girl, TayTay. David is known for contagious laugh, bizarre stories he got you to believe and loyalty for his family. He had a passion for fishing, camping and his drives through the canyons although he disliked the cold. He enjoyed the latest fashion trends, drinking coffee first thing in the morning, eating tamales, rice and beans for dinner, watching football on sundays and falling asleep to old westerns but most of all he loved spending time with his family. David never let his age define him, he was forever young at heart. He enjoyed pranking his loved ones and chasing his grandkids down the street. David is survived by his sisters Rose, Thresa, Carol. His brothers Ernest and Jesus. He is preceded in death by his wife Judy, son Antonio, father Roque Sr., mother Mancolvia and his brothers Johnny, Augustine, Roque, Herman, Frank, Michael. David left a positive impact on many and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home and George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center for their care and compassion.
