DeAnn “Dee” Smith passed away on January 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Dee was born on August 16, 1958, in Ogden, Utah, to DeVar Smith and Beverly Ann Bullock. She was raised in Willard, Utah, where she graduated from Box Elder High School. She later attended Bridgerland and continued her education to become a foot zoner.
Dee spent many years working as a baker at both Harmons and Smith’s Bakery, a role that perfectly suited her love for baking. She was especially known for her homemade candy and for preparing memorable Sunday family dinners that brought everyone together.
Dee loved the outdoors and found great joy in fishing. She also enjoyed swimming and relaxing at Crystal Hot Springs. Above all, Dee was a deeply caring and generous person. She had a natural gift for helping others through their troubles and would truly give the shirt off her back to anyone in need.
Dee also cherished her dear friends from Weight Watchers, where the close friendships she formed became an important and supportive part of her life.
She dearly loved her dogs, Frankie and Fred. Her family finds comfort knowing that she is already reunited with Frankie and playing together again in Heaven.
Dee is survived by her siblings, Kent Hoffman and Shirley (Steven) Christensen; her sister-in-law, Kathy Hoffman; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Kathy Guthrie, Lynne Tedder, and John Kozee.
Dee will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, her love of family, and the warmth she shared so freely with everyone she met.
