Denise Arnell passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at Maple Springs in Brigham City, Utah.
She was born on March 29, 1951, in Montpelier, Idaho, to Mildred Anderson Arnell and Rex Arnell. Denise was raised in St. Charles, Idaho in the Bear Lake Valley and graduated from Montpelier High School. In her early years, she lovingly cared for her grandparents, Kurt and Delpha Anderson, a reflection of the kindness and devotion that defined her life.
After graduating, Denise moved to Brigham City to attend beauty school. She worked at American Greetings and 7-11 and volunteered her time at the Heritage Theatre. One of her greatest joys was working with the Foster Grandparent Program at Mountain View Elementary and Discovery School, where she spent time with young children—a job she truly loved.
Denise was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was so excited when she was able to take out her endowment in the Brigham City Temple on May 24, 2025.
Denise enjoyed playing cards, especially Phase 10, often staying up late into the night playing with her cousins. She loved going to and watching movies and was always excited to share the latest releases with friends. Simple pleasures brought her happiness, including Walker Cinema popcorn, Peanut M&M’s, a Dr Pepper with lots of ice, and a Whopper Jr. with cheese.
She is survived by her sisters, Kaye Hymas and Raye Jean Campbell; nieces and nephews Lane Hymas, Lance Hymas, Travis (Andrea) Woolstenhulme, Sadie Campbell, and Tana (Jeff) Allen; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; her aunt Ila Anderson; and many beloved cousins, friends, and extended family.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents Kurt and Delpha Anderson and Eugene and Edna Arnell; brothers-in-law Greg Hymas and Mike Campbell; her niece Ivy Raye Campbell; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
