Denise Shaw, 61, of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully in the community she called home. Born on March 9, 1964, in Ogden, Denise lived a life defined by kindness, humor, generosity, and a deep love for the people around her.
Denise was known for her kind heart, her funny and stubborn spirit, and her willingness to help whenever someone was in need. She had a heart of gold and a way of showing up for others in quiet but meaningful ways. She loved making people smile and brought warmth wherever she went.
She was very well known and deeply loved in her place of work and throughout her community. Denise found joy in simple, thoughtful things — especially making cross-stitch pieces and offering help and comfort to those around her whenever she could.
Denise was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Shaw; her parents, Donald and Mary Pasquini; and her brother, Donnie. She married Earl on September 15, 1995, and through that union gained three stepchildren and several grandchildren whom she loved as her own. Although Denise did not have children of her own, she proudly and lovingly claimed her stepchildren and many of her friends’ children as family.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Grace Lester, and her family; her brother, Jim, and his family; along with many friends and loved ones who will miss her dearly.
Denise will always be remembered for being a wonderful friend, an incredible mother and grandmother in every way that truly matters, and a bright, loving presence in the lives of those who knew her. She will never be forgotten.
Friends may visit with family at a Viewing on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden.
