D.J. Otis Parkinson

Our loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, D.J. Otis Parkinson, passed away on February 2, 2019, at the age of 28. He was born in Ogden, Utah on February 28, 1990, to Dane Parkinson and Fortune Johnson.

D.J. attended Ogden High School where he was a talented wrestler, winning several gold metals. He worked for the family business Thomas Pappas Bail Bonds and was looking forward to one day running it himself.

D.J. has many friends and family in the Ogden area and he always made sure to visit them on a regular basis. D.J. enjoyed camping, fishing, riding three and four wheelers with the family, wrestling or any other sport and hanging out with his friends and family as much as possible. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

He is survived by his little brother, Jake Marker; nephews Kanyen and Carlisle Marker; aunts, Jolene (Rick) Marker and Kim (Allen) Law; uncle, Skip (Julia) Pappas; cousins, Kindi (Cory) Johnson and their children Tanis, Akira and Max, Titus Law and his children Mercedes and Neo, Gavin Law, Devrie (Colton) Harvey, Abagale Pappas, Michael Martinez, Kari (Wayne) Law and their children Alexee, Athena and Randi (Shaunna) Law and their child Owen; and his best friend Jay Bussa.

D.J. was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dane Parkinson and Fortune Johnson and grandparents, Thomas and Darline Pappas.

All are invited to join us for a Celebration in honor of D.J.’s life being held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.

D.J. was totally casual so please dress that way.
