Douglas Brian Voss of Miles City, MT
On January 3rd 2026, Douglas Brian Voss, 47 years young, passed on from
this life in Ogden Utah. Doug was born in Pueblo Colorado to Carol Voss.
Doug and his mom came back to Montana, and his mother married Richard
Barbula. Three years later Doug became a big brother do David. Doug
only had a few short years with his mother before she passed away. Doug
later gained a stepfamily, Marilyn Mitchell and her kids, Meccala, Melita,
Mindy and Jesse.
Life was never easy for Doug he had Hodgkins in the
fourth grade and obstacles never stopped appearing for him.
Doug was always up for an adventure and mindfully planned out his
endeavors with his clever strategizing. When Doug was an early teenager,
he moved to Billings with his Grandma Arlene Voss, where he finished high
school and experienced life on the wild side. Through many trials and
tribulations Doug found the desire to try a new lifestyle completely and took
a leap by moving to Miles City. This move was on a whim and Doug didn’t
think he would like the change, or even stick with the small-town life, but
much to his surprise, he loved it, it was everything he needed. He was able
to connect with his biological father Ray Stevens and find answers to so
many unasked questions. Doug loved the chance of being outdoors chilling
with Judge his dog, camping, fishing or just driving around on a Sunday
Funday Family Drive. Doug would never miss the chance to hang with his
nephews or take in one of their ball games.
After nearly 3 years of struggle with health problems that left him unable to
care for himself or live on his own, his body decided it was time to retire. He
fought harder than anyone I could ever imagine would, he really put his
stubbornness to work and it really showed!
Doug is survived by his dog Judge, brother David and wife Nycole, their boys Bodey
and Logan, dad,Dick and his wife Glenda, biological father Ray Stevens and his wife Fran,
all his step siblings who he considered his siblings, as well as many aunts,
uncles and cousins. Other family members that were there with him until
the bitter end, Ralph and Sally Lehner, Taryn, Chance, Tresten and Tayden
Micheletto, Trent and Jessi Lehner, Mindy, Rebel and Kannin Nelson,
Marilyn Mitchell and Mike (Bernie) Barbula.
