Enrique Sanquino Abrego

September 13, 1948 — December 2, 2020

Enrique Sanquino Abrego 72 passed away on December 2,2020.

He was born September 13,1948 to Enrique Maldonado Abrego and Luz Maria (Sanquino) in Mexico City, Mexico D.F. where he married his wife Rosa Maria Orozco.

They moved to Ogden Utah in the early 70's in search of the American dream. He worked at Utility Trailers, Freeport Center and other blue collar jobs before retiring from Solaray Inc. also known as Nutracutical Corp.

He enjoyed playing soccer in Ogden for the Aztecas in the late 70's. He enjoyed listening to mexican music and was a DJ for a short time in the mornings on the weekends for KSVN La Mexicana on 730 AM out of Ogden, Utah. He also enjoyed playing the Liga M.X. Quiniela, Idaho Lottery, cards, hanging out with his friends at Tony's Shop and vacationing in Mexico in the winter with his sisters and their families. He was a member of St. Joseph's catholic church.

He is survived by his wife Rosa Maria Abrego; two sons Victor (Julie) Abrego Ogden, Jose (Michelle) Abrego Roy, six grandkids: Monique (Angelo) Mendez, Ryan (Javier) Ortiz, TaeLynn Abrego, Darien Abrego, Laundo Abrego and Monte Abrego ;and five great-grandsons: Cash Mendez, Cane Mendez, Oliver Ortiz, Dexter Ortiz and Darien Jr. Abrego;, four siblings: Yolanda Abrego, Noemi Abrego, Maria Antonia Abrego, Reyna Abrego; and lots of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents Enrique and Luz Abrego, one brother Jose Luis Abrego, one grandson Victor Ruben Abrego.

Our family would like to give thanks to the healthcare providers that were there for him when we couldn't be.

We will forever miss your Mexican music and hearing you sing.  You will always be in our hearts and our thoughts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December, 12, 2020 from 3 to 5 pm at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.  Friends and Family are welcome to come and pay their respects.  Masks are required.
