Ernest Gomez

Ernest Gomez, 76 of Ogden, Utah, passed away after a short illness Friday, October 25, 2013. Those who knew him best called him Ernie. Ernie was born April 18, 1937 to Helen and Epifanio Gomez. He grew up in Ogden and attended Ben Lomond High school, graduating class of 1957. He worked at Sierra Lingerie on 12th street until they closed and then at Morton, International (Autoliv, ASP Module Facility) until he retired. Ernie enjoyed watching the Jazz and watching his nieces grow.

Ernie is preceeded in death by both parents, an aunt, Josephine (Adolfo) Mendez, four brothers Jack J. Gomez, Louie Gomez, Ralph J. Gomez, , one sister, Thresa Gomez and his favorite lottery run companion, brother-in-law Robert I. Mitchell. He is survived by three sisters, Virginia Gomez, Rosile (Robert) Mitchell, Cecilia Gomez, one brother, Phil Gomez, nephew, Louie Gomez, and three special nieces, Heidi Mitchell, Autumn Wade and Vanessa Elexpuru, and his lifelong best friend, Dick Terkelson.

The family asks that graveside services be private.
