Eugene W Byrnes

Eugene W. Byrnes Jr. of Clearfield, UT was called home by his Heavenly Father on Friday, October 8, 2021, at the age of 69. He was born on December 25, 1951, to Eugene and Ellen Jackson Byrnes in Brooklyn, New York. He attended East New York Vocational Technical High School but left before graduating in order to help support the family.
Eugene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He worked as a baker of fine pastries for many years before changing jobs. He then worked in a Bagle and Bialy shop in Jamaica, Queens.

Eugene loved baseball, jigsaw puzzles, word search, card games, trivia, all sorts of movies, and television game shows. He enjoyed conversations about anything and everything, especially baseball. He was an avid New York Yankee fan.

Eugene is survived by his extended family, the Guggino Family of New York and Connecticut; his brothers, David Byrnes and his wife Lulu Werner Byrnes of Long Island, NY, and John Byrnes and his wife Luz Sotomayor Byrnes of Clearfield, UT;; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

The family expresses many thanks to the Weber Human Services MACS Program and Community Nursing Services for their dedication and care over the years.

A memorial service will be held by the University of Utah Organ donor program in Summer of 2022. Funeral services are private, please omit flowers. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
