Evelyn D Remien, age 78, passed away peacefully, in her sleep, at home, in Clearfield, Utah. On December 22, 2025. Evelyn was born on November 11, 1947 in Manila, Philippines to Angel Pascual and Pastora DelaCruz Evelyn grew up in the Philippines and it was there at Clark Air Force Base where she met and married her husband, Thomas Joseph Remien on June 24, 1967.
Evelyn is survived by 2 sisters, Amelia Dyer of Morristown, Tennessee and Lolita Lunde of West Point, Utah. She is also survived by her 6 children: Evangeline (Wyatt) Conley of Roy, Utah, their 5 kids and 10 grandkids; Thomas Junior (Amber) Remien of South Ogden, Utah, their 8 kids and 4 grandkids: Angela (Taylor) Sanchez of Clearfield, Utah their 4 children: Arielle (Vanessa), Gage, Paishence and Gabriel, their 5 grandchildren: Jorelle, Junior, Amya, Izac and Ajay; Elizabeth (Jason) Maisey of Washington Terrace, Utah, their 4 kids: JT, Caleb, Arianna and Amaya and their granddaughter, Aniyah and another granddaughter arriving in March; Maribeth (Dave) Jones of South Carolina and their 2 kids; Maria (Johnathan) Remien of South Carolina and their 3 kids and many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her mother, Pastora DelaCruz; sisters, Virginia Zaremba and Minda Nugid; brother, Danilo Pascual; husband, Thomas Remien and the love of her life and her best friend, Larry Scott. All who knew Evelyn knew just how much she enjoyed her trips to Wendover and her favorite machine, Buffalo. She was a member of the VFW Eagles and loved getting dressed up to go dancing and she danced all night. She enjoyed singing karaoke, playing her favorite game Mahjong and had a love for Dr Mario via Nintendo. She absolutely enjoyed watching Manny Pacquiao boxing. She enjoyed going to all of her grandkid’s sports activities with her cowbell, ringing it loud and proud. Evelyn will be truly and deeply missed. We will keep her memories and traditions alive.
Evelyn was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton, Utah.
We would love for family and friends to join us in celebrating her life at Aaron’s Mortuary, 1050 South State Street, Clearfield, Utah on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 6pm-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 10 am at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel Street, Layton Utah.
