Francisco A Martinez

OGDEN-Francisco A. Martinez, of Ogden, Utah passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 after his fight against cancer. (Those who knew him, called him Hank.) He was born in Stockton, Utah November 10, 1949 to Abel and Margaret Martinez. He was a Vietnam Veteran (69-71) in the U.S. Army and served as a medic for Dust-off. After his tour, he pursued a career with the Union pacific Rail Road, then later worked many years as a handyman. He genuinely enjoyed welding & tinkering in the garage. He definitely prided himself as a jack of all trades. Hank is survived by his sons; John and Richard Martinez, his siblings, Frances Martinez, Connie Thomas, Abel Martinez, Tillie Valdez, Seya Gallegos and Ava Martinez. Also his dog named Red, which was his best friend. He was preceded in death by his son Fred Martinez and brother Robert Gallegos. No funeral services will be held, but a family gathering will be planned. Details will be sent out at a later date.
