Gale Elaine Lavaly Moran, 71, of Rigby, Idaho passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. A Celebration of Life service will take place at Watersprings Church in Idaho Falls, Idaho on August 20, 2025, at 11:00 am.

Gale was born to Lawrence Joseph Lavaly and Rosie Lee Crooks Lavaly in San Francisco, California on July 13, 1954. She was the youngest of 5 children with brothers Charles, Donald and Andre and sister Barbara.

She met her loving husband of almost 52 years, Marshall, at Santa Clara University where she earned her Bachelors of History degree. She went on to earn her Masters of Social Work from Sacramento State University. She spent her career working as a social worker with Child Protective Services in Sacramento County. Gale grew up in East Palo Alto, California and raised her family in Sacramento and Lincoln California. After retirement, she moved to Rigby, Idaho. She loved crafts, the ocean, reading, purses, earrings, shoes, and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Marshall R. Moran; her five children: Rhondalyn Moran, Rachael Moran-Joseph, Kendra Calderon, Joseph Moran, and David (Mosy) Moran. Gale also leaves behind 8 grandchildren: Noah Nelson, Malcolm Calderon, Xochitl Calderon, Victoria Calderon, Isaiah Joseph, Morgan Joseph, David Moran Jr., and Ruby Moran as well as one great-grandchild, Javessa Nelson.
