Gaye B. Wills Stagge, 76, passed away at McKay Dee Hospital August 30, surrounded by loved ones. She was born November 11, 1948, in Ogden, Utah. Her parents were Lawrence LeRoy Wills and Clara Baker Wills.

She graduated from Weber High School in 1967. In 1968, she married Roy Bronson, and together they had four children. They were later divorced. In 1989, she married the love of her life Ricky Stagge, and they had one son together. In her later years she was married again to Paul McEwan and shared many fond memories together in their retirement home.

She worked at the IRS for 46 years before she retired. Gaye grew up on Wilson Lane and loved telling stories about her childhood on the family farm. She often recalled the animals they had-sometimes including mean turkeys that would chase her and her sisters. When she was younger, she enjoyed going to dances at Hill Air Force Base with her sisters and friends.

Gaye was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and carried a strong testimony. She served in many callings and especially loved the scouting program and served for many years.

Above all, Gaye cherished the time she spent with her family. She loved planning and going on family vacations and going camping with her family. She loved big family parties. She enjoyed dancing and singing to Mamma Mia and Whitney Houston. In her free time Gaye loved crocheting and sewing. She liked to spend time shopping and having lunch with her friends.

Gaye is survived by children: Aaron (Aimee) Bronson, Marci (Mikel) Barrow, Gina (Kyle) Hancock, Jason (Jess) Stagge, and her daughter-in-law, Kindra Bronson Nilsson. She is also survived by her 24 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and two on the way; her sister and best friend, Dixie (Gary) Pitlo; her sister-in-law and best friend, Debbie Jensen; her wonderful cousins, Bill and Sandy Gibson; her best friend, Kathy Statler; and her significant other, Paul; along with many special nieces and nephews. Gaye was preceded in death by her sweet, Ricky; her beloved son, Shane; ex-husband, Roy; her parents; and two sisters, Karen and Connie.

Special thanks to Our House Assisted Living, to all of her sweet friends and staff, and to all the staff at McKay Dee Hospital who cared for her in her final moments.
