Gloria Jean Strahm

Layton, UT – Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother, Gloria Jean Strahm, 90, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, with her daughter Beth Davis, son Eric Strahm, and daughter-in-law Suzette Strahm by her side. She was born in 1934, the daughter of Edward and Ruth Heitzman of Freeport, Ill. She married the love of her life, Jim Strahm in 1952 in Freeport, Ill.

Gloria lived in Freeport, Ill, Las Cruces, NM, and Hooper, UT, before retiring in Las Cruces in 1994. After her loving husband Jim Strahm passed in 2008, she lived in Blair, NE and Layton, UT until her passing. Gloria was a loving mother and wife first and foremost. She worked for Dallas Green Farm Service for 21 years as the store manager. She also served in the PTA, Boy Scouts, and 4H during her years living in Hooper, UT.

She is survived by her children Eric (Suzette) Strahm, Washington, UT; Beth Strahm Davis, Lincoln, NE; 6 grandchildren Cameron, Alexis (Kaiser), and Madison (Silotti) Strahm, Aubrey (Hopwood), Ryan, and Sawyer Davis; and great grandchildren Ruby, Summit and Goldie Strahm; Billie, Jude, and Jackie Kaiser; and Vincent and Sunny Silotti. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, and brothers.

We will miss and forever love our sweet mother, but are so happy that she has reunited with the love of her life in heaven. Funeral services will be held in Washington, UT and Lincoln, NE.
