In Loving Memory of Hannah Maizler (Wayment)

It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the sudden passing of Hannah Maizler (Wayment) at the young age of 43 on April 12, 2024.

Born on September 6, 1980, in Ogden, Utah, Hannah touched the lives of everyone around her with her warmth, kindness, and genuine laughter. She was a daughter, sister, wife, the cool aunt, and a loyal friend. She was the kind of friend who listened intently and stood by your side through thick and thin. Her friendships were deep-rooted, and her absence will leave a painful void.

Hannah expressed her passion and creativity through her hobbies and interests including baking, jewelry making with her mom, a keen fascination for creepy movies and stories, delighting in the thrill of suspense and the mysteries of the unknown.

Hannah will especially be remembered for her love of animals. There was no shortage of goofy pictures and stories revolving around her two kitties, Sasha and Spike, whom she loved endlessly.

Our family will cherish the memories created with Hannah over her life. We will always remember childhood memories of camping with cousins in Copenhagen, Idaho picking huckleberries, Friday night dinners at Senior Frogs with the family, enduring Hannah’s favorite terrifying horror movies, and family get-togethers where she watched her nieces and nephews grow.

On August 12, 2006, Hannah married Martin Maizler whom she loved deeply. Together, they navigated life’s joys and challenges with commitment and support for one another. Hannah and Martin were not just spouses but also best friends, confidants, and soulmates who found strength and solace in each other’s presence.

Hannah is survived by her loving husband, Martin Maizler; her devoted father, Dale Wayment; her supportive siblings: Christie Shannon, Joshua Wayment, Roxanne Wayment, Rodney Wayment; and a host of other relatives and friends who will deeply mourn her loss.

Hannah’s compassionate spirit extended even beyond her lifetime through her generous decision to donate her organs. In her final act of kindness, she gave the gift of life to others, offering hope and a second chance to those in need. Hannah’s legacy of kindness, love, and resilience will continue to inspire us all. While we mourn the loss of a beautiful soul, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the stories we share and the memories we hold dear.
