Helen McDonald Proctor

Helen passed away June 7th, 2025, at the age of 91 in Ogden, Utah. Helen was born March 8, 1934, to John and Minola McDonald.

During her lifetime she had lived in California, Montana, and Utah.

She met Homer James Proctor while in high school. After Homer returned home from the Korean War, he received the Purple Heart and Silver Star for his service. Homer and Helen were then married on February 17th.

She then became a wife and caretaker. She later became a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She was blessed with many great talents in her life. Her favorites were cake decorating, crafting, and leather working. Her son and grandsons loved the moccasins, belts, and wallets she would make for them.

She is survived by her son, Homer Wayne (Muriel) Proctor; two grandsons, Roger Wayne Proctor and Kevin Homer (Megan) Proctor; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minola McDonald; husband, Homer James Proctor; grandson, Brandon Proctor; great granddaughter, Serenidy Proctor; and nine siblings: Marvin, Florence, John, Arol, Clifford, Raymond, Edna, Minola, and Dina.

Special thanks to all the employees at Pine View Transitional Rehab, Aspen Ridge Hospice, Dr. Hemmersmeier, and Becky and Joe Smith for all their time, love, and care for Helen.

As per Helen’s request there will be no funeral services.

Cremation under the care of Aaron’s Mortuary & Crematory.
