Helen Smith

January 28, 1927 — February 21, 2022

Helen Smith passed away peacefully at Auberge Senior Living Community North Ogden.  Helen was born to Manuel Roscoe and Claire Ellen Darling on Jan 28 1927 in Caliente, Nevada.   She married Glen Hulse 1945, later divorced; married 1950 to Barney Smith until his passing 2-7-97.   She had Two Son's Johnny Hulse and Randy Smith.

She worked hard all her life.  She operated the Post lounge in Ogden for many years, until she moved back to Nevada.  Loved riding horses in her younger years.  Always would say “have you found me a new Cowboy yet.” She sometimes could be a spitfire, yet at assisted living she came to be known as the social butterfly, loved talking to everyone. She will be dearly missed.

Helen was preceded in death by her Father Manuel and Mother Claire Darling, Husband Barney Smith, Son Randy Smith, Brother Mike (Sonny) Darling, Sister Ruth Darling Matthews.

She is survived by her Son Johnny Hulse (Linda), 4 Grandsonsons: Douglas Hulse, Danny Hulse, Randy Smith Jr, and Casey Smith; 7 Great-Grand Children: Justin, Jessica Hulse, Halie Shafer, Brayden, Silas, Adalyn Hulse. Devon B Smith; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren: Caysen, Camdyn, and Harlow Shafer.

The Family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Hospice and Auberges for all their help and loving concern they gave her. It will be so nice in the future when we can say every tear will be wiped from our eyes and death will be no more...former things have passed away (Revelation 21:4).

Cremation under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah                     (aarons.mortuary@gmail.com)
