Inez Davis

June 30, 1926 — December 16, 2023

Inez G. Davis, 97, passed away peacefully on December 16th, 2023 at her home in Clearfield, UT. She was born on June 30th, 1926 in Taylorsville, Utah to Addie S. Swensen and Claud O. Garringer.

Inez lived a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering strength. She touched the lives of all who knew her and leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness.

She married Paul E. Hockenberry on May 3rd, 1945. They had 2 children Max and Claudia. After his passing, she married Robert J. Davis on May 1st, 1948. They had 5 children together Douglas, Dennis, Lawrence, Ronnald and Penni.

Inez loved to crochet, embroidery and sew. She enjoyed being with family and reading novels. Inez loved spending time with her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Celebration of life will be held on May 1st, 2024 which is her and Robert’s anniversary. Their ashes will be laid to rest together.

Inez' memory will forever be cherished by Claudia (Arthur) Whitlock, Douglas Davis, Dennis Davis, Lawrence (Teressa) Davis, Ronnald (Ernie) Davis, Penni (Alan) Spatz. Numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is reunited in heaven with her husband, parents, siblings, son Max Hockenberry, daughters-in-law Ann and Sharon.
The family would like to express gratitude to hospice caregivers for their compassionate care during Inez’ final days.

Life is not forever but love is.
