Ivy Jule Harju

Ivy Jule Harju, 89, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on Monday, June 2, 2025.

She was born May 29, 1936, in Logan, Utah to Kenneth and Delora Sorensen. She was the first born of four children and cherished her siblings dearly.

In 1955 she began her career as a secretary at Hill Air Force Base where she met her beloved husband, Wesley Harju. They married in November 1955 and shortly after welcomed two children, Kenneth and Teri.

Her children blessed her with seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she showered her family with love and support. They were her greatest joy.

Ivy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and lived a life full of love and devotion. Her sense of humor and playful spirit brought joy to anyone fortunate enough to know her. She found beauty in unexpected things such as dandelions and Oscar the Grouch.

We celebrate her life, love and legacy. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her. “But whatever”

A graveside service will be held on June 6, 2025, at 11am at the Clearfield City Cemetery. Those who wish to visit with the family beforehand may do so at Aaron’s Clearfield Mortuary from 10:00-10:30am. The mortuary is located at 1050 S State Street, Clearfield, Utah 84015.
