Jack Lee Walters, age 69, of Ogden City, Utah, passed away on February 5th. He will be remembered as a kind-hearted, funny, and deeply loving man whose presence filled every room he entered.
Jack lived a life defined by hard work, reliability, and unconditional love for his family. He was knowledgeable, talented, and full of personality, with a spirit that stayed full of life no matter his age. Those who knew him knew they could count on him — and they were often laughing along the way.
Jack’s work ethic began early with his first job milking cows. He went on to spend nearly 25 years in carpentry, a trade that reflected his skill and dedication, followed by 13 years working at Home Depot. One of his most beloved roles, however, was portraying Santa Claus for over 40 years — a gift he shared generously, bringing joy and magic to countless children and families.
He had a deep love for softball, baseball, football, hunting, fishing, and camping. Jack also enjoyed muscle cars, car shows, sporting events, and time spent in Wendover at slot machines and gambling. These passions were part of the joy he found in everyday life.
Jack is survived by his son, Casey Walters; daughter-in-law, Bri Worton; grandsons Brexton Walters and Boston Walters; granddaughters Avalon Wooten and Evelyn Wooten; his mother, Dorene Walters; sisters Penny Mahaffey, Patsy Stevenson, and Joyce Walters; and brother-in-law Richard Mahaffey. He was a proud father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle, and his love for his family was unwavering.
Jack Lee Walters leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and strength. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
