Local Ogden socialite, “Gina” Janette Tinne Klomp Teahan, has passed
away on July 17, 2019 in the loving arms of her family. Janette’s journey
started on Wilson Lane in Ogden, Utah on August 11, 1934 to the proud
parents of Henry and Martha Klomp. She was the second child of six
siblings. She spent many days working on the family farm. As a young girl,
she was an entrepreneur assisting her dad selling vegetables to local
families. As a teenager, she was a pioneer in the early days of women in
the workplace by having a job as a young woman at Safeway. After high
school, she took a cab ride of fate, and met Kenneth Roy Teahan. Her new
found love blossomed into a 34 year marriage producing three fine
children, Susanne Cutler, Diane Teahan, and Donald Teahan. At her
pinnacles in life, she was blessed with two grandsons, Travis and Tyler
Cutler, and two great granddaughters, TyLyn and Lyla Cutler. She was
known for her eccentric style and captivating conversations. As a socialite,
friends came easy to her and activities were plenty. Later in life, she was
known to be a globetrotter, punching her passport on many ports along the
way. She lived an exciting life for 64 years on the always active Jefferson
Avenue. She had many acquaintances and even more friends. She was
truly one of a kind and a pleasure to be around. She will be missed by all.
Janette is survived by her children, Susanne (Brent) Cutler and Diane
Teahan; two grandsons, Travis (Jackie) Cutler and Tyler (Lexie) Cutler; two
great granddaughters, TyLyn and Lyla Cutler; and four siblings, Elaine
(Jim) Blanchard, Joann Hunt, Carl (Brenda) Klomp, and Ronald (Cindi)
Janette is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Martha Klomp;
husband, Kenneth Teahan; son, Donald Teahan; and brother, Herman

Such fond memories of Gina sharing her front lawn with tons of food on the 24th of July with family and friends . Her wonderful laugh and her love of my daughter Jackie and her grandson Travis. She was such a fun lady! She will be missed, but no longer limited by her body keeping her from all the things she loved. Be in peace. Julie (Willson) Hawkes
