Jean Brooking Foote, loving mom, sister, aunt, nana, and friend passed away on January, 5, 2022 at the age of 75. She was surrounded by loved ones.
Jean was born in Newfoundland, Canada to Edward and Gertrude Brooking on October 22, 1946. She married Charles David Foote, on July 5, 1968, in Newfoundland, Canada. They were later divorced in 1989. Together they had four children: 3 sons - David (Michelle) Foote, John Foote, Doug Foote and one daughter, Cindy (Tom) Arnold.
On April 26, 1964 Jean was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints. She held various callings and loved serving.
Jean loved being a stay-at home mom. She never attended college, but her experiences throughout her life made up for any certificate. Her certificate reads ‘Mother.’ She loved this calling. Jean was also a beloved grandmother.
Jean sold Avon for many years to support her family. Full of life and joy, Jean loved life. She loved to be around others and some of her happiest moments were times when she played games with family and friends. Jean adored flowers and loved the spring and summertime when they were in full array.
Jean is survived by her siblings: Mary Lou (Gerry) Kuster, Roger (Clare) Brooking, and twin-sister Joan Brindle. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Gertrude Brooking, and her oldest sister Edwina (Christopher) Hall.
Mom - may you enjoy being pain free and catch up with your loved ones in Heaven. Thank you for all you taught your children. You will be greatly missed.
Special thanks to the many people and services rendered to care for Jean, our mother.
