Jeffery Scott Capps

Jeffery Scott Capps 47, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2009. He was born in Ogden, UT.on April 9, 1962 to Billy E. and Wanda McCamish Capps.

Jeff married Karen Olsen in Portland Oregon, they were later divorced. Jeff was raised and educated in Ogden and was a member of the LDS Church.

He always enjoyed his children and was often referred to as Mr. Mom when the boys were growing up. He also helped raise his two nieces and nephews. Jeff worked as a siding installer, a warehouse worker, and a furniture mover.

Jeff coached basketball for Ogden City Recreation. He always had a good sense of humor and was quite the story teller, which every one enjoyed!

Jeff is survived by his sons; Justin and Bradley Capps and his father Billy E. Capps of Portland, Oregon, his mother Wanda Capps and brother Lance Silva of Las Vegas, Nev., his Aunt Jackie, niece and nephew, Melanie and Jordan Morley and Uncle Warren (Kaye) McCamish of Ogden, niece and nephew Tricia and Andrew Morley of Portland, Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his brother Lamar Leon Capps.

Jeff will be missed but not forgotten, we will always remember his laughter, story telling and his great way with kids, but most of all just being Jeff.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 6:00 pm. for family and close friends and his home.

Cremation is under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary & Crematory.
