Jeffrey Keith Taylor, age 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Kaysville, Utah on April 12, 2025, with his loving family by his side.
Jeff was born in Eugene, Oregon in 1948. A devoted husband, father, and friend, Jeff dedicated his life to service, both to his country and his community. He served honorably in the National Guard for four years and went on to spend 35 years as a proud firefighter with the Los Angeles City Fire Department. During his distinguished career, Jeff was awarded the Medal of Valor—one of his departments highest honors -for his bravery and dedication.
Jeff was a true family man who found is greatest joy in spending time with his wife, Kathryn, and their four children: Heath, Zane, Cole (Kandace) and Tammy. He was also a beloved grandfather to Maxwell, Finnley, Clare, Sullivan and Campbell. Jeff loved camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his sons. He also enjoyed woodworking and building furniture. A lover of adventure, he was an enthusiastic member of his jeep club, the Chuckwallas.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, George Taylor, his mother, Patricia Anderson-Browning, and his brother ,Thomas Taylor.
Jeff’s steady presence, generous spirit, and warm sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
