John Charles Dalton

April 29, 1964 — February 7, 2009

OGDEN-John Charles Dalton, 45, left this life for the next on Saturday, February 4, 2009. He was born on April 29, 1964 to Ora Tyler in Salmon, Idaho. In 1966 he was adopted by Charles and Lytha Dalton and was raised in Ogden, Utah.

Dad never married but those who were fortunate enough to have his heart are left with a badge of honor. Especially the mothers of his children: Christine Love, Rochelle Johnson and Debbie Morton a€" they had a priceless spot in his life.

Dad was very loving and had a great sense of humor. He was a soft spoken man, but when he spoke you listened. Dad considered his children his greatest accomplishment in life, but found love he never knew in his granddaughters. When he was with his K'dee Bug, Roe Roe and Bailee Whitefish you could see true happiness in his eyes.

Dad was proud of his heritage which he openly displayed through his body art and was lovingly known to his friends as chief. John was a loyal friend and treated his friends like family. He cherished the people he chose to keep close to him and would never let them down.

He was the founding member of The He-Man Jack Drinkers of America Club. Dad had many friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but we all can find comfort in knowing we will see him again at the end of the trail.

John is survived by his children; Brandi (Josh) Best, Tyson (Tamaria) Dalton, Kelsey Dalton, Sierra Dalton and Matthew Morton, grandchildren; Kadence Best, Bailee Best and Monroe Dalton. His companion Debbie Morton, siblings; Louie Marshall, George Marshall, Marie Quanda, James Tyler and Valneva Dalton, along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son Jared Dalton, stepson Franco Leyvas, mother Ora Tyler, parents Charlesand Lytha Dalton and brother Les Hammond.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009 from 1-3 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 24th and Adams Avenue, Ogden, UT.
