John Frederick Miller

October 14, 1952 — June 25, 2008

FARR WEST- John Frederick Miller Jr. passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008 peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family. He returned to the arms of his Heavenly Father after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS). John was born on October 14, 1952 in Torrance, California.

John met the love of his life, Theresa (Tenney) Miller, because they shared a deep love for music. They were married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Oakland, LDS, Temple, on October 26, 1974.

His job at Thiokol brought them to Utah where they raised their four daughters.

John always enjoyed playing sports of any kind, especially church basketball and volleyball. You could always find him coaching his daughters' teams or supporting their various talents.

When John found out he was sick, his goal in life was to touch as many lives as possible, which he certainly succeeded in doing. When asked how he was doing, he would always respond, "I have my good days and my not-so-good days, but I never have a bad day." Even to the very end, he was very positive and strong in his faith. He always told his family to keep smiling.

He is survived by his wife Teri, his daughters; Tiffany (Justin) McNeely, Amber (Shane) Clarke, Crystal (Ash) Jones, and Jessica (John) Allen. He is also survived by his sisters; Pat (Jim) Larsen, Susan Miller and his brothers; Jack (Faye) Miller and George Miller.

John was preceded in death by his parents John Sr. and Betty Miller and sister; Sally Brown.
