John "Jack" Petersen, 65 years old residing in Ogden, Utah. Passing suddenly and unexpected on the evening of March 12, 2026, in Ogden, Utah. Born out of East Meadow, Long Island, New York, on the 17th of November 1960, to parents, William Petersen and Frances "King" Petersen. Calling Long Island home until 11 years old in 1971 then moving with all his siblings to the sunny west coast of California living in San Bernardino, until the age of 16.
1976 brought new adventures making way and moving out to Ogden, Utah, to continue to grow up and live out his days. Jack, always known and game for turning a wrench, wrestling with his cars and trucks and many of others for folks keeping the gas burning and the wheels, turning. He was a true jack-of-all-trades as they weren't many things he couldn't fix or repair.
He is survived by his son Christopher Petersen, daughter in law Nanyelith Petersen, and only grandson, Rocco Petersen. Siblings, sister, Frances and Berry Brackett, sister Florrie Petersen, brother, Bill and Glenda Petersen, brother, Jim Petersen, brother Tom and Lucinda Petersen, and sister Betty Petersen. Also, his near and dear treasured relationships with niece Jamie Petersen and nephew Kaelex Anderson.
Preceded in death by his parents, William Petersen and Frances King Petersen.
Remembrance and viewing to be held 20th of March 2026 6 PM to 8 PM, at Lindquist Mortuary, North Ogden, Utah.
