Jonathan Joel Donaldson

August 9, 1987 — February 18, 2024

Jonathan Donaldson, 36 years of age, passed away on February 18, 2024, at his home in North Ogden, Utah. Jonathan was born in Ogden, Utah to Wendie Donaldson and Joel Garcia. He attended Ben Lomond High School before embarking on a successful career at Hill Air Force Base. Jonathan was beloved by all his colleagues and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually working on fighter jets.

Jonathan's love for the outdoors was evident from a young age, as he spent cherished moments hunting and fishing with his grandfather, Larry. While he attempted fostering animals, his compassion often led to them becoming permanent pets.

Known for his unwavering kindness and willingness to help anyone, Jonathan's heart was always open to those in need, regardless of their background or circumstances. He even endured difficult jobs, such as at a halfway house, assisting others.

His affiliations with the First Nations and the Free Masons reflected his belief in the power of community and the importance of something greater than oneself. Jonathan admired the indigenous perspective of balance with the land and nature, and he found camaraderie and purpose within the Masonic community.

Jonathan's passion for technology extended beyond his career, as he found joy in building computers and connecting with friends nationwide through video games. His generosity and enthusiasm for gaming brought people together in friendship and shared experiences.

Above all, Jonathan's greatest love was reserved for his children, whom he adored beyond measure. He sought to instill in them values of kindness, acceptance, and respect, aspiring for them to surpass even his own achievements.

Jonathan is survived by his three children, Jayce, Jaydee, and Jenova; his mother, Wendie; his grandmother, Sandie; as well as numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews. Among them are his sister, Rachael, and his brothers, Joel, Demetrick, and Fabian. He was preceded in death by his son Jaxsyn, his uncle Dusk, and grandfather Larry.

To those who knew him, Jonathan was like the son, brother, or friend everyone wished for—always ready to lend a helping hand and bring laughter, even in the face of adversity.

In honoring Jonathan's memory, let us remember the goodness he embodied. May his legacy inspire us to embrace kindness, for it is truly a key to happiness and a pathway to becoming better versions of ourselves.
