Jose Manuel Gonzalez, 35, passed away in his Willard home on April, 14, 2025. He was born December 24th, 1989 in Guanajuato, Mexico. He was the eldest son to Martin Gonzalez and Irene Cisneros.
Jose was known as “Manny” by his friends and family.
Manny and his family moved from Mexico to Brigham, Utah in 1994 when Manny was just 5 years old. He was raised in Brigham City and attended Box Elder. He was a loving father to three beautiful little girls, those girls were the light of his life. He stayed in close contact with them regardless of the physical distance between them. Always answering their every call at any hour of the day. Manny was a very reserved man with a very calm demeanor. Manny spent the last 11 years living in Willard.
Manny had many hobbies that kept him busy at all times. He loved to fish and would go three or more times a week, bringing home his catch to his family. He was also a great cook, his mother recalls him cooking fish, wings, and one of his favorite desserts, Flan. Anyone who has had the privilege of knowing Manny knows that he kept his yard beautiful. He was outside every single day cleaning, trimming the trees, tending to his garden. He truly always made the grass look greener on the other side.
Growing up Manny had a love for animals, he loved his turtles and took great care of them. Later in life he cared for his family cat CoCo, he always made sure Coco was fed and inside every night.
One of Manny's top outlets was art. He had a spectacular talent in drawing and painting. Often using art in the most difficult moments of life. He filled many sketchbooks with his art, many of which expressed what words could not say. It was a privilege to see his art work and how it filled him with joy and hope.
Manny's family hold dear to them many memories with their son, their brother, their father, their uncle and the friend that he was. Manny's shy yet kind personality will be missed by all who knew him.
