Kathryn B Young

In loving memory of Kathryn B. Young, who departed from us on Friday, January 27, 2024.  

Kathi, the 'cookie lady,' was a remarkably talented woman with a keen intellect and a profound love for children, healthcare, gardening, cooking, singing, playing the guitar, and triumphing at Scrabble. Her open heart embraced life wholeheartedly, encouraging others to be authentic and standing up against injustice.

Kathi dedicated her life's work to pediatrics and lactation education, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched. In the later years of her journey, she found solace in the rooms of AA, where she discovered a deep and enduring love with Doug Young. Doug, and their cherished fur babies, will be grateful for your prayers during this difficult time.

Kathi is survived by her two daughters, Emma and Meg.  

May her legacy of compassion, love, and advocacy be remembered, as one perfectly imperfect human's valliant journey to live and love fully.
