Kathryn Kalar

Kathryn Kalar (née Wilding) died peacefully in her sleep on May 18, 2023 due to complications of Brain Cancer.

Kathryn was born on May 28, 1954 in Twin Falls Idaho to Vila Jean and Ray Leavitt Wilding. She attended Bountiful High School where she met Jay Van Christensen Jr. Their union, produced five children: Tristie, Jay, Dawn, Eve and Joe. Kathryn and Jay divorced in September 1984.

On January 8, 1986 Kathryn married the love of her life and sweetheart, Frederick Seth Kalar and they remained married until his death on October 19, 2004.

Kathryn was preceded in death by both of her parents, sister, brother and husband. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, twenty grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; as well as her brothers, nieces and nephews.
