Our loving father/grandfather, Keith Lee Laughlin Sr. (March 30th, 1945-July 31st, 2022) has fulfilled his earthly duties of tormenting all of us and has departed this earth to torment us from beyond. He was born to Robert Laughlin and Bessie Palmer. He was the only child of this union but had several siblings from other unions.
Keith served in the United States Army for 5 years, 4 months, and 6 days. During this time he was deployed for 1 year, 9 months, and 23 days. He was honorably discharged as an E5- Sergeant. He received several medals which include National Defense Service medal, multiple Good Conduct medals, Vietnam Service medal with 2 BSS, Republic Vietnam Campaign medal. He was also assigned to the 199th Light Infantry BDE. He enjoyed traveling the mountains, panning for gold, metal detecting, fishing, and collecting coins. He has had three companions during his travels that he has loved dearly. His dachshunds' names are Mindy, Honeybear, and Maggie.
He was only married once to Victoria Cole for 14 years. During this union they brought three kids into the world. Keith Laughlin Jr., Michelle Laughlin, and Kirt Laughlin. In addition a love child was born in 1975, Shelly Monson. In addition to his children he leaves behind 24 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, two grandsons, and one granddaughter.
We will be holding a celebration of life. Please meet at 1600 Wall Ave, Ogden, UT (Vic’s keys) to join the precession to the VFW if you would like. We will be meeting there at 16:30 and his celebration of life will follow at 17:00 at 907 West 12th St, Ogden, UT at Veterans of Foreign Wars. This will be a potluck/ luncheon, please bring something to contribute.
