Keith Arnold Wixom

Keith was born on November 21, 1941 to Lillian and Earl Wixom in Oakland, CA. He was the older of two children. He has a younger sister named Judy (Eric) Glass.

When he was very young, his family moved to Grand Junction, Colorado. There he spent his childhood years and graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1959. After graduation, Keith joined the United States Navy. He spent much of his time in the South Pacific and was part of the naval effort to secure the US during the Cuban Missile Crisis. When on land, he was stationed in San Diego. While in California, Keith met and later married Mary Quinn. They had two children--a daughter, Debbie (Mike) Eaves and a son, Rod (Christy) Wixom.

In 1972, Keith and his family moved to Layton, UT. Keith worked as an electrician for a Navy Contractor at the Freeport Center, for Weber County, and at Pacific Chromolox. Keith later started his own company which he appropriately named Wixom's Maintenance.

He has always enjoyed sports as a pastime and has played, coached, umpired, and been an all-round sports fan.

Keith divorced and later married Gwen Williams. They enjoyed the outdoors including camping, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by six grandchildren--Amy Lanvin, Ryan Eaves, Ashley Eaves, Lindsay Eaves, Makayla Wixom and Courtney Wixom. Also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Keith was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. - Aaron's Mortuary 1600 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT.

Cremation is under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary & Crematory.
