Kenneth LaVier Daley

WEST HAVEN- Kenneth LaVier Daley 51, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother and friend returned home to Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 25, 2009. He was born August 12, 1957 in Ogden, Utah to Morris LaVier and Riona Poulsen Daley.

He attended school in Weber County and graduated from Roy High School in 1975. He joined the U.S. Navy shortly after where he was a H.T.F.N. on the U.S.S. Ranger for four years.

He met the love of his life Nancyann McLendon. They were married on February 17, 1976, they were sealed for time and all eternity on February 18, 1986.

Kenny then worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for nine years. He worked at HAFB as a mechanic for the past twenty-six years.

On November 25, 1977 they had "Daddy's Little Girl" Laura, and on March 9, 1979 they had "Daddy's Little Side Kick:" LaVier.

Dad enjoyed spending time with his family and kids. He loved watching LaVier, rope and ride. He also loved traveling to all the rodeos and sitting through queen contests with Laura. One of his biggest passions was the great outdoors he loved everything about it. He was a spectacular hunter with many trophies to show for his accomplishments. Dad loved to go camping, riding and training horses, riding 4-wheelers, and snowmobiles. He was a big kid at heart.

He loved his four beautiful grandkids, he enjoyed watching them play soccer, baseball and going to dance recitals. He cherished the moments he spent with them.

Dad, We want you to know we love you unconditionally! You were there to pick us up when we got bucked off. You were there to wipe the tears; you were always giving us an encouraging word, and teaching us to care. We love you Dad, you are our HERO!

Ken is survived by his loving wife Nancy, daughter Laura (Tyson) Spencer, son LaVier (Kara) Daley, four grandchildren; Jace, Ty, Kambree, and Kenlee, parents, Morris LaVier and Riona Daley, also survived by three sisters; Dora Lynn (Mark) Chavez, Kellie (Craig) Demorest, Pam (Scott) Mayberry, grandpa Richard Forsgren, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, who will all love and miss you greatly!

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. a€" West Haven LDS Chapel, 3628 S. 2700 West, West Haven, UT. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 1st at the church from 6-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be at West Weber Cemetery.
